John Jackson brings more than 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with a background that spans leasing, sales, and portfolio evaluation for agency assignments, as well as tenant and portfolio advisory. His expertise includes working with clients across a broad spectrum of sectors, including big-box retail, fast-casual dining, financial institutions, and real estate investment groups. Known for his ability to craft and execute market strategies that exceed client expectations, John is distinguished by his deep market insight and tenacious approach to deal-making. Throughout his career, John has played a pivotal role in repositioning mixed-use assets both within Pittsburgh’s urban core and throughout the greater metropolitan area. His work has attracted numerous high-profile tenants to the region, including several making their first entry into the Pittsburgh market. Among his notable achievements is bringing Target to downtown Pittsburgh, a milestone that helped catalyze the revival of the Smithfield Street corridor. Before founding Legacy, John held positions at CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield, where he refined his skills in brokerage, asset strategy, and client advisory. He began his career in real estate with NVR Inc., serving in corporate sales, marketing, and finance. In addition to his extensive professional experience, John is a retired United States Army veteran, having served as a communications sergeant during Operation Iraqi Freedom. John resides in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with his wife and two children.
