During his 30-year career, John Hennessey has provided his clients with diverse and market-leading services, completing some of Boston's more notable lease and sale transactions. John is a co-founder and principal at Thompson Hennessey & Partners, where he focuses on advising and providing strategic solutions for his clients, both locally within the Boston market and globally. A true tenant advisor, John excels at building long-lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships with his clients. While working with existing clients and developing meaningful relationships with new and prospective clients, John ensures the delivery of end-to-end real estate services. John was previously at DTZ where he was the co-managing director and at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank where he was the managing principal for the Boston and Cambridge operations. Over the course of his career, John has conducted more than 800 real estate transactions many of which have been some of Boston’s largest and most notable. John is an active member of the community and serves as a board member for The Home For Little Wanderers, a nationally renowned, private, non-profit child and family services agency. He also serves on the board for The Boy Scouts of America. John received his Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University, completing his cooperative education at GTE and R.M. Bradley - a market-leader in Boston’s commercial real estate industry. John ultimately was recruited to work for R.M. Bradley upon graduation, and worked on the Prudential Insurance account for many years. John lives in Newton with his wife and two sons. John enjoys golf, skiing and is an accomplished pilot. He has competed in and completed five marathons, two of which were The Boston Marathon.
