John Harshman

Respected by his peers, John is a past president of the Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Board of Realtors and winner of the "Commercial Broker of the Year" award in 1998. An active leader in local governmental and community affairs, John is currently serving as the President of the Association of Downtown Commercial Property Owners, Inc., Chairman of the Public Facilities Finance Advisory Board and has served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and the chamber's Governmental Review Council. John is a past recipient of the chamber's prestigious Chairman's Cup Award for volunteer service and civic leadership. He was appointed in 1999 to the county's Environmental Lands Oversight Committee to advise county officials on the purchase and use of environmentally sensitive areas. John served as president of Girls Incorporated for three consecutive years and is a graduate of both Leadership Sarasota and the New Leader's Council.
