Bill Gravenor is the founding principal of Americus. He directs all facets of the company's business activities. Mr. Gravenor has been involved in real estate management, development, acquisition, disposition, and financing for more than 30 years. Mr. Gravenor began his career as an auditor with the State of Texas Auditor's Office before moving to The University of Texas, where he was Director of Permanent University Fund Lands. At The University of Texas, he was responsible for overseeing 2.2 million acres of land and participated in the Investment Advisory Council, which was responsible for the University's multi-billion dollar investment portfolio. In 1992, Mr. Gravenor moved into the private real estate sector. Since that time he has been involved in acquiring, managing, constructing, redeveloping, and disposing of real estate. Mr. Gravenor is a member of the company's Investment Committee which evaluates and authorizes new investment opportunities, and is also a member of the company's Portfolio Management committee which oversees performance of fund assets. Mr. Gravenor has a BBA from Texas State University with a major in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas.
