John Akers

Originally from Bakersfield where his family was in the cotton business, John moved to Visalia over 30 years ago to raise his family. Splitting time between the produce business and firefighting as well as being a business owner, John retired from the fire service in April of 2020 to focus full time on Commercial Real Estate. John spent several years working part time for Zeeb as Marty’s assistant and came on board full time as a Broker Associate after retiring from the fire service. John attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he earned a degree in Agri Business Management and, several decades later, returned to school to earn an MBA from Fresno State (2014). John gained valuable experience in real estate finance while with Bank of America and real estate appraisal while with Dallis Higdon & Associates. Additionally, he has experience in farming and ranching and, of course, firefighting. John is easy to talk to and has a broad background of experience to draw from.
