Joel Wechsler

Joel Wechsler is a Senior Director for Avison Young’s New York office. A real estate veteran with more than 30 years of industry experience, Joel specializes in tenant representation. His background in finance offers clients a unique perspective on the economics that power real estate transactions. During his career, Joel has represented Crum & Forster, Fireman’s Fund, Arthur J. Gallagher, First Derivatives, AMDOC/POV, Reputation Institute, Brain Trauma Foundation, Simmons Boardman and Gerling Global. Prior to joining Avison Young, Joel was a Senior Vice President at CBRE. Before that, he was an Executive Managing Director at Grubb & Ellis, where he was a top producer and named to the firm’s Circle of Excellence several times. He was also named to The President’s Council, the highest level of achievement, for his contribution to the real estate industry and community. Joel began his career at Edward S. Gordon (ESG).
