Joel Davis
Prior to forming Great Prairie Risk Solutions, Mr. Davis was a Vice President and in-house counsel at Equity Residential, one of the nation’s leading providers of multifamily housing. For 10 years, Mr. Davis directed the Company’s general liability and workers compensation programs, and managed premises liability claims and litigation asserted against the Company. In addition to working on claims and lawsuits, Mr. Davis was active in loss control and safety initiatives for the Company. Prior to joining Equity Residential in 1997, Mr. Davis was an attorney with French, Kezelis & Kominiarek, P.C. in Chicago, IL, concentrating his practice in premises liability and medical malpractice defense. Mr. Davis has been admitted to practice law in Illinois, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has appeared as counsel of record, pro hac vice, in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and South Carolina. He has also been cited in numerous articles on multifamily housing litigation and loss control.
