Jim Jacobsen

Jim Jacobsen is the founding partner at Industry Partners, where he leads and oversees the company’s landlord and tenant services, as well as the company’s operating partner functions in conjunction with institutional investors and pension funds. Since starting the firm in 2011, Industry Partners has risen to become a top performing company, highly specialized in the development and leasing of quality creative office space in Los Angeles. Jim is an early adopter and advocate of sustainable development and adaptive reuse, and has played a leading role in the sale and repurposing of millions of square feet of classic industrial and warehouse buildings. As a result of his client-focused commitment, he has maintained long-term relationships with companies such as The Lionstone Group, J.J. Abrams, Jerry Bruckheimer, POP Sound, Imagines Films and The Mill. Jim received his BA from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a member of LACRA, the Santa Monica Conservancy, City of Hope, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Hammer Museum and Oceana North America. Jim received his BA from the University of California at Los Angeles and lives in the Brentwood neighborhood with his wife Dana and their son.
