Jim Fonteno

Jim Fonteno joined Majestic in 2013 as Vice President of International Development. His current principal area of development interest is Latin America. Additionally, he is involved in select projects in Texas and other US markets. Prior to Majestic Realty, Jim was an investment banker for over 20 years and active in private equity real estate. He has extensive experience with international transactions, PPP financings and institutional investment, having previously served as a trustee of the Teacher’s Retirement System of Texas and as chairman of its investment committee. Additionally, Jim is very knowledgeable of port-related logistics and infrastructure from his long tenure on the board of the Port of Houston Authority. Jim holds a law degree from Georgetown University, a MSc degree from the London School of Economics, and a BA degree from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the Washington, DC bar and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
