Jeremy Birk
Jeremy Birk currently serves as Executive Vice President for Education at Stratford Schools, a network of over 25 schools across the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles with a progressive STEAM-based curriculum as a part of Spring Education Group. Prior to his current role, Jeremy served as the Director of Curriculum and Innovation and High School Assistant Principal at the United Nations International School (UNIS) in New York City in addition to working as a teacher, administrator and consultant in public and private schools and varied programs in the United States, Spain, Switzerland, Kenya, Rwanda and Colombia. His firm belief is that every student should love learning, and that it is the responsibility of schools to relentlessly seek to engage students in their learning. Schools must embrace a new paradigm that encompasses planning and design for emerging technologies, prioritizes personalization and real-world experimentation, and promotes passion for learning throughout life so that student can adjust in an ever-changing future, and, most importantly live with purpose. With an Ed.M degree in Educational Leadership from Columbia University, an MA in Curriculum and Instruction, and History undergraduate, Jeremy brings rich experience in curriculum design, innovative teaching practices, and international school operations.
