Mr. Schiesser has specialized in commercial real estate investment advisory and capital markets for many years. As a Principal of JP Partners, Mr. Schiesser has worked on diverse transactions with major assets types including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, hospitality and for-sale residential as well as special use assets including infrastructure, self-storage, parking, healthcare, restaurants, golf courses, marinas and automotive retail. Mr. Schiesser has executed billions of dollars of transactions including acquisitions, dispositions and finance. Prior to founding JP Partners, Mr. Schiesser was an original member and partner of Patriot Capital, a boutique real estate investment banking firm. Mr. Schiesser originated, negotiated and closed over $1.2 billion in transactions. Mr. Schiesser was also a member of Credit Suisse First Boston in the Investment Banking Division. Prior to CSFB, Mr. Schiesser was a member of Fitch Ratings in the CMBS Group. Mr. Schiesser’s primary responsibilities included derivation of CMBS bond subordination levels for floating and fixed-rate transactions. Mr. Schiesser was a member of KPMG LLP in the Valuation Group. He was responsible for advisory and valuation of real estate, M&E and intangible assets for corporate transactions and taxation. Mr. Schiesser earned a Master of Science in Real Estate Law from John Marshall Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Commerce College.
