Jay Heagerty

Jay Heagerty, CCIM is a veteran commercial real estate broker and a Florida native. Born in Sarasota, he has been a Manatee County resident for over 45 years. Mr. Heagerty's commercial practice focuses on the sale and leasing of office, retail, and industrial properties as well as the sale of vacant land. He has worked both as a tenant and landlord representative. He has completed several sale-leaseback, build-to-suit and ground lease transactions during his 26 years in the commercial real estate field. He has also sold close to 100 million dollars worth of raw land during his career. Mr. Heagerty is an expert in the self-storage business and has been involved as an investor in a local storage company for over 20 years. He is also the managing member of a small portfolio of commercial properties. A CCIM is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial real estate. Only six percent of the estimated 150,000 commercial practitioners nationwide hold this highly respected designation. Mr. Heagerty is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Current Vice Chairman of the Manatee County Housing Finance Authority, Mr. Heagerty has served for 25 years. He also served on the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority from 2000 to 2005. Mr. Heagerty enjoys boating, golf, tennis, and spending time with family and friends. He's been married to Deborah for 23 years and they have triplet teenagers, Joey, Hailey, and Jimmy.
