James Watson

James “Watty” Watson leads strategic direction and growth initiatives for CTR Partners, drawing upon a comprehensive 45-year career in commercial real estate investment, development and management. His focus includes platform operations, development, acquisitions and strategic growth including new market expansion for CTR Partners’ national logistics strategy. Watty also serves as the primary liaison for CT’s institutional and private investors and is also a member of both executive and investment committees. Before joining CT in 2010, Watty served as president of the Koll Development Company where he directed real estate investment and development in the Western U.S. and Mexico. Koll developed or acquired over 75 million square feet of institutional quality office, industrial and retail properties during its history. Watty has served as a board member for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) at the national level, is a former Advisory Board co-chair at the Center for Real Estate at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, and has served on numerous other boards for private operating companies and charitable organizations.
