Ian Lerner

Ian Lerner is a Senior Director with Cushman & Wakefield Retail Services and an attorney in the State of New York. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Lerner clerked for the Honorable Judge Gill Freeman, the sole Judge presiding over the Miami-Dade Circuit Court’s Complex Business Division. While clerking for Judge Freeman, Mr. Lerner specialized in the Court’s jurisdiction, hearing only the largest and most complex disputes in the region. Additionally Mr. Lerner drafted and reviewed contracts as a Summer Associate for Zarco, Einhorn, Salkowski & Brito, one of the country’s most prominent franchise law firms. During Mr. Lerner’s enrollment at the University of Miami School of Law, he worked as a law clerk at the Offices of Karen Cohen, where he worked directly with landlords, homeowner and condo associations, as well as, dealing with distressed properties. Ian joined Cushman & Wakefield working with Joanne Podell focusing solely on Manhattan Retail Real Estate. Mr. Lerner has applied his knowledge of real estate to his legal background to provide high level real estate analysis to both Landlords and Tenants in Manhattan. He has used his unique educational background to assist Tenants including Nike, TD Bank, Ann Taylor and Jones Apparel Group with all of their real estate requirements. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Ian obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami graduating Summa Cum Laude. In May 2010, Mr. Lerner received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law.
