Henry Schlachter

Henry Schlachter began his commercial real estate career with the Henry S. Miller Company in 1971. A consistent top producer and charter member of the Chairman's Council, he specialized in the brokerage of investment and development land. In 1984, Mr. Schlachter formed his own company, expanding his expertise to include the brokerage of office, apartment, and retail investment properties. After returning to Grubb and Ellis (Miller Company successor) in 1995, Mr. Schlachter joined Joe Foster Company in 1999. He enjoys the challenge and reward of specific assignments and is recognized for his creativity, focus and persistence in achieving his clients' objectives. The following assignments highlight the his multi-faceted real estate career: Development Land Acquisitions: Apartment development sites in the Metroplex including two Plano and two Fossil Creek (Ft. Worth) sites for Simpson Housing, L.P., 40 acres in River Park (Ft. Worth) for Cumberland Allegiance Development, and one Austin site for Simpson Housing, L.P. Site Assemblage: North Dallas Bank and Trust branch office locations in Plano, Frisco, and Las Colinas as well as the location for Signature Point on the Lake, the Telesis Companies' 400-bed nursing, assisted living and retirement facility on Preston Road. Investment Property Brokerage: Brokerage of Preston Place office building to Merit Texas Properties; University Centre office complex in the Telecom Corridor to Greenway Investments, and the 178,000 square foot Lincoln Village Shopping Center, Austin, to the S.C. Companies. Mixed-use Joint Venture Placement: Mockingbird Station, a 700,000 square foot mixed-use development of office, retail and apartments at Mockingbird Lane and Central Expressway for Simpson Housing, L.P. Inner-city Redevelopment: Build-to-Suit for Albertson's Oak Lawn store and the acquisition of an apartment re-development site in the City of Highland Park for Corrigan Properties. A native of Michigan, Mr. Schlachter graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA and received an MBA from InterAmerican University. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the North Texas Land Council, Greater Dallas Association of Realtors, North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
