Harry Pflueger, Principal, specializes in investment sales in key western US urban and resort markets. Though the southwestern US is his primary focus, Mr. Pflueger has sold hotels in California, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Tenessee, Texas, and Utah markets. Mr. Pflueger represents private owners and institutions in the orderly disposition of their hotels. He has also been working extensively with offshore Asian investors and sources of capital (primarily Chinese and Korean) to place capital in solid US investments. Examples include Shanghai Construction Group’s (SCG America) $137 million purchase of the 654-room Hyatt Regency Orange County, Shenzhen Hazen Real Estate Group’s (one of China’s largest developers) purchase of the 802-room Sheraton Gateway LAX, and the sale of the 153-room Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim to Samchully America, a large Korean conglomerate. He often sources off-market deals before they are listed for sale. Prior to founding Maxim Hotel Brokerage with Jack Carr, Mr. Pflueger directed the Western Regional hospitality practice for Insignia Hotel Partners, and prior to practicing brokerage in 1996, he was a senior analyst and managed the analyst department for Hotel Partners, during which time he provided analysis for hundreds of exclusive hotel listings.
