Gus joined RYER Associates in November of 2011 and represents the 3rd generation of Ryers in the commercial real estate business. He has facilitated numerous lease and sale transactions, including the sale of Danbury's Boughton Street YMCA to CT Institute for Communities, and the sale of the new headquarters of Perosphere, Inc. (a bio-pharmaceutical firm). Gus is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Chapter of the CCIM Institute where he serves as the Treasurer and Legislative Liaison. He also serves as the Treasurer of the Commercial Brokers Alliance of Western Connecticut. He serves CTR (CT Association of REALTORS®) on the Legislative Committee, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Strategic Planning Committee. Gus is also a Director of the Housatonic Industrial Development Corporation which provides government guaranteed real estate loans to small and medium-sized businesses. Gus is a magna cum laude graduate of Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. His commitment to knowledge and excellence carry forward in commercial real estate where he has completed CCIM courses 101 - 104, as well as other commercial real estate-specific courses and seminars. His hobbies include: reading, writing, hiking, traveling, and woodworking.
