Gene McKnight

Gene brings over 4 decades of years of experience in the industry focusing on investment sales and tenant & landlord representation with many of the region’s leading corporations and private firms. Gene began his real estate career with Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate (now Newmark) in 1985 thereafter joining Santa Barbara-based Pacifica Commercial Realty in 1992 serving as Associate Vice President then creating McKnight Commercial. In 2024 Gene heads up the Commercial Division of Village Properties, Inc. headquarterd in Santa Barbara with offices in Santa Ynez and Montecito Gene prides himself on his civic contributions including his appointment to the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Downtown Organization (The D.O.), where he currently serves as the non-profits Vice President. He is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers and the AIR Commercial Real Estate Association. Gene maintains a strong advocacy for the rights of property owners and businesses.
