Fred Poordad
Dr. Fred Poordad has been honored by US News and World Report as one of the top 1% of physicians in his field and serves on many scientific advisory boards. He is internationally recognized for his work in liver disease research. Dr. Poordad serves or has served on educational committees for the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the American Society of Transplantation, and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is on the editorial board of several journals and is a regular peer reviewer for multiple journals. Dr. Poordad is the recipient of the 2020 San Antonio Business Journal Healthcare Heroes Award in the category of Outstanding Medical Researcher. He received his doctorate degree in medicine from University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada.
