Fred Campbell
Mr. Campbell leads The Cascade Group, LLC as President and CEO, where he oversees a firm that specializes in real estate consulting, development services, brokerage transactions, and corporate services. These services encompass strategic planning, project management, feasibility studies, and financial analysis for a diverse clientele, including individuals, corporations, and institutions, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, he co-founded and serves as Managing Partner of Technology Properties3, a real estate firm catering to companies in advanced technology sectors. Before founding these companies, Mr. Campbell was the chief real estate officer at CUNA Mutual Group, managing real estate investments, mortgage loans, and corporate facilities across the United States and in over 60 countries. He also led The Real Estate Advisory Service, providing comprehensive consulting and advisory services to clients in the U.S., the Pacific Rim, and Latin America. His extensive expertise includes real estate development, construction management, feasibility analysis, due diligence, appraisal valuations, mergers and acquisitions, loan underwriting, and property and asset management. Mr. Campbell is fluent in English and Spanish. Mr. Campbell earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics with honors from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1972, followed by a Master's Degree in Real Estate Analysis and Urban Land Economics in 1974. He furthered his education at Harvard University's Real Estate Institute in 1989 and has completed numerous continuing education courses in fields such as Law, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Strategic Planning, Finance, Technology, Land Use Regulations, Urban Economics, and Investment Analysis. He has shared his expertise as a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin’s graduate school of business, focusing on Corporate Real Estate, and developed and taught a national course on Lease Analysis for The Appraisal Institute. Additionally, he has presented at various Real Estate Public Private Partnership Business Forums sponsored by the Counselors of Real Estate across the country. Mr. Campbell holds the Designation of Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) from the American Society of Real Estate Counselors and serves on their Board of Directors, Education Committee, and as Co-Chair of the Public Private Partnership Business Issues Forum. He has been affiliated with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Appraisal Institute, and CoreNet. He has also been active in the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE), and the International Development Research Council (IDRC), the precursor to CoreNet, where he contributed to developing the testing criteria for the Masters of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) Designation program. He holds a Wisconsin Real Estate Broker’s license and is certified as a Property Assessor II by the State of Wisconsin. Mr. Campbell has served on various boards, including the Counselors of Real Estate, Downtown Madison Partners, Inc., UW Real Estate Alumni Association, Westside Metropolitan Business Association, CUNA Mortgage Corporation, Campbell Tree & Land Company Inc., and The Campbell Company, Inc. International. He has also been the President of the Greenridge Park Neighborhood Association and a member of the CTK Finance Council.
