Francis Griffin is partner at MRE Commercial who represents private investors and small business owners in the East Bay Metro Market. Francis’ localized approach provides expertise in multiple product types including apartments, retail, office, and industrial. Francis is an Oakland native who joined MRE in 2016 after being recruited and mentored by co-founder and Managing Partner, Erik Housh. Francis has represented local businesses in finding, negotiating, and securing new space as well as local investors with acquisitions and dispositions while considering cash flow, equity position, and management responsibilities. Francis holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University Pueblo and played 4 years of collegiate baseball. Francis also sits on the board of Oakland Field of Dreams, a non-profit foundation in Oakland that built and maintains Rickey Henderson Field, and serves as the President of The Better Referral Network, a chapter of BNI that meets in Albany. Francis will soon obtain his CCIM designation, having successfully completed the required coursework. Francis and his wife, Nancy, reside in Oakland and while not working he can be found playing baseball in a local adult league, golfing, skiing, weight training, or hiking one of his favorite Bay Area trails with his dog Annie.
