Jessica “Fannie” Fann grew up on a farm in Sampson County, NC (where there are more hogs than people) and spent her summers in Burlington, VT. She was a dance major at East Carolina University when she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. In 2006, she made a career move was best and attended Mitchell’s Hairstyling Academy. Fannie always dreamed of living by the beach and in 2008 packed her bags and moved to Wilmington, NC. While working as a Hair Artist Fannie discovered a passion for changing lives. After a decade in the salon industry, Fannie decided to make a bigger impact on people’s lives and attended JY Monk Real Estate School in 2015. In her free time, she enjoys attending local live music shows, watching Netflix, and making friends laugh. Fannie also has a passion for volunteering, and she volunteers with the cat adoption care at Petsmart and is an Outreach Team member with JDRF. Fannie’s BIGGEST goal is to start a charity that distributes T1D supplies and education to parts of the world where supplies are unavailable.
