Mosaic Realty Founding Principal Eron Sodie centers his attention on direct investment in commercial real estate across the United States. Prior to forming Mosaic, Eron built a strong foundation of experience in the real estate arena, most recently as Principal of WCP where he focused on distressed commercial/residential debt and investment. Eron began his climb through the industry in 1993, working on distressed debt opportunities and asset management for JE Robert Companies and The Archon Group in a joint venture with Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Funds where he performed acquisition and asset management duties on distressed whole loan/REO portfolios purchased from a variety of commercial banks, thrifts and life companies. Eron’s direct asset management responsibilities included a $100 million portfolio of Northeast office and flex properties purchased from TIAA where he formulated asset reposition strategies, budgeting, leasing and capital improvement plans. In 1988, Eron moved on to serve as Vice President, Regional Manager of Fremont’s Mid-Atlantic office. During his 9-year tenure there, he was directly involved in the origination, structuring and asset management of $4.0 billion in structured finance investments for large-scale real estate developments, and directly involved in over 100 transactions. He pivoted roles as Senior Vice President When iStar acquired Fremont’s commercial division of the office in July 2007, and oversaw the acquisition. Eron holds an MBA from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of Maryland. He lives in Bethesda, Maryland together with his wife and 3 children.
