Ernie began investing and managing apartment buildings in 1969, creating an investment portfolio of over $300,000,000 in Orange County and Los Angeles Counties. As President and CEO of Schroeder Management Company, he oversees the day to day management decisions of the properties working closely with the supervisory staff, as well as the renovation and capital improvements at all apartment communities managed by SMC. He is a Certified Property Manager with the Institute of Real Estate Management headquartered in Chicago, IL. Ernie is a graduate of California State University Fullerton, and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics as well as the Board of Governors for the University, and is on the Board of Directors of the Orange County United Way.
