Eric St. John

Eric St. John, CCIM, is the Founder and President of St. John Commercial, a Huntsville-based commercial real estate firm specializing in office and industrial leasing and sales, with additional experience in land sales, retail, and other segments of the market. After more than 13 years building his career and his reputation in the Huntsville/Madison commercial real estate community, Eric set out on his own to create a firm built on being detail-oriented and truly understanding and managing his clients' needs. While his primary business is based in the Huntsville area, Eric is licensed in both Alabama and Tennessee and has worked on regional projects outside of Huntsville. Born and raised in Huntsville, Eric attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he earned his bachelor's degree in finance and accounting. Beyond his formal education, Eric has hands-on experience as an entrepreneur, having started, acquired, and run several businesses of his own. That combination — a finance and accounting background paired with real-world experience building, acquiring, and operating companies — gives him a perspective that makes him a true asset to his clients as they navigate their own real estate and business decisions. Throughout his career, Eric has been involved with several high-profile projects and developments that have become integral to the Huntsville/Madison community, including multi-use destinations like Stadium Commons, Lincoln Mill, The Range, Times Plaza, and Stovehouse. Beyond leasing and sales, he has also been involved in development projects, giving him a well-rounded view of the real estate landscape from multiple vantage points. His clients range from local businesses to regional and national organizations, and span a wide array of industries — medical, government contractors, professional services, financial institutions, retail and showroom, automotive dealerships, and more. In addition to his professional work, Eric serves on the UAH Foundation Board of Trustees and is a member of Committee of 100. He believes strongly that The University of Alabama in Huntsville is an asset to this community, which is part of why he stays involved and gives back, and he has been involved with multiple organizations that support entrepreneurship in the area. He enjoys mentoring both high school and college students, helping them broaden their view of the opportunities available to them. In his free time, he enjoys spending time in the mountains, traveling to new places, and being outdoors.
