Douglas Cranston

Douglas is a Director of HTA Real Estate with over 20 years of industry experience specialising in investment agency and asset management disciplines. He has advised on acquisitions and disposals for a range of investors including pension funds, property companies and private individuals. He has held senior roles at Knight Frank and JLL and acted on behalf of investors including the likes of Aviva, L&G, Mileway, Threadneedle, Patrizia, Aegon, Trillium, Northumberland Estates, Hanro amongst others. Prior to joining HTA Real Estate he was Head of Property at MCM Group, a regional property company, where he held a pivotal role in growing and asset managing a portfolio of assets across the north of England which included completing regional value add development projects. Douglas is a keen sports fan and enjoys playing football, running and cycling and is heavily involved in coaching both rugby and football at the community level. Douglas is also a member of the RICS North East Regional Board and regularly volunteers his time working alongside Northumbria University Real Estate Management programme where he is currently external examiner to the MSc Course.
