
Joining Tavistock Group in 2003, Doug is a Senior Managing Director and a member of the Group’s board of directors. Doug focuses on luxury real estate and consumer-facing businesses where he has helped conceive, design, establish and market Albany in the Bahamas, which is regarded as one of the most successful luxury resort developments in the Caribbean with $2.5 Billion in completed real estate sales since its opening in October 2010; he led the turn around of the 150-room St. Regis Atlanta, and successfully drove the sales of the private residential units at record pricing for the market; he co-created the acclaimed, award-winning ATLAS Buckhead restaurant in Atlanta; is responsible for Isleworth Realty and Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla.; has served as past Board Member (Non-Executive) of the world’s largest pub company, Mitchells & Butlers plc; and in 2004-2014, McMahon helped expand and produce the Tavistock Cup golf matches which reached a global audience in over 100 countries. Today, building on the success of Albany, McMahon is focused on establishing the Nexus Luxury Collection and its portfolio of lifestyle assets including Nexus urban, private membership clubs, and Nexus Sky Lounges and new resort communities around the world. McMahon brings three decades of experience to the private investment group, previously serving as Chairman and CEO of Publicis New York and earlier as Executive Vice President and General Manager of J. Walter Thompson New York. Doug was also Chief Marketing Officer at NBC/Universal's CNBC unit where he helped make the GE subsidiary the top-ranked cable news channel in the world.
