Donald Simmons

Don Simmons is the Founder of Simmons Real Estate, one of the leading East Texas commercial real estate companies. He has been involved in all phases of the firm's transactions since its founding in 1983. Over Don's career in commercial real estate, he has been instrumental in the successful development and brokerage of some of the largest real estate projects in Tyler and Longview. This includes over 65 acres in Tyler’s South Broadway retail corridor, 65 acres in Tyler’s Grande-Old Jacksonville area, a substantial development in the Troup Highway corridor, 92 acres in Tyler’s East Loop 323 Walmart Supercenter Development, and several retail centers in Longview, Texas. Don has provided his expertise to numerous boards and committees. He was the Director of the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors and Texas Association of Realtors for four years. He also served on the National Association of Realtors. Don is an active member of the Tyler community. He is involved with the Tyler Economic Development Council and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was awarded Realtor Associate of the Year for the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors, and was recognized with the Distinguished Service award for his contributions as a Director. Don holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
