Don Plunk began his career in engineering, construction and real estate 60 years ago. He held design and administrative positions from 1954 through 1966 with private consulting engineers. He served through 1970 as Director of Development for Hunt Properties where he administered a land investment portfolio valued at more than half a billion dollars and a multi-million dollar construction loan fund. While at Hunt, he was responsible for the acquisition, development and marketing of several major mixed-use projects in Texas, Colorado and Florida encompassing more than 10,000 acres of land with a projected finished investment value of more than one billion dollars. Plunk then joined in the formation of Raldon Corporation serving as President and CEO of the company's land and development subsidiary. In 1975, Plunk formed Dalcon, Inc., a development consulting firm, providing representation to several national financial and investment firms in the analysis, acquisition, development management and marketing of properties and projects nationwide. During this 16-year period with Dalcon and subsidiary companies, Doral Properties and Don'El Corporation, Plunk was active as consultant, developer, builder, manager and marketer of many residential, industrial, multi-family and commercial projects nationwide, including several joint ventures with the Henry S. Miller Companies. Since 1991, with the merger of Dalcon and Henry S. Miller Investments, he has served as President of HSM Dalcon, Inc., the development entity of Henry S. Miller Cos. During the past 37 years, Plunk has been responsible for the acquisition, planning, development and marketing of more than 100 projects nationwide including residential, office, industrial, commercial and resort properties including three golf course communities. These projects have encompassed more than 15,000 acres of land with a total value of finished development improvements in excess of $2.5 billion.
