Don Ellwanger

Don Ellwanger specializes in retail investment and agricultural properties in the Western US. With more than 32 years of commercial real estate experience, he has been with SVN Commercial Real Estate Advisors for the last 20 years, and has completed more than 340 transactions valued in excess of $737 million. Prior to joining SVN Commercial Real Estate Advisors, Ellwanger served as Vice President of the Ellwanger Corporation, a mechanical contractor company specializing in schools, shopping centers and hospitals. Under his direction, the company grew to be one of the top 200 firms in the United States. He went on to serve as a broker for Coldwell Banker Commercial. Since 2001, Ellwanger has received substantial recognition from SVN International. He continues to rank amongst the top five percent of all brokers in the company nationwide, receiving the SVN Achiever Award in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2019. He was recognized by Costar Group as Power Broker for 2006 Sales Transaction Volume. He has earned the prestigious SVN Partner’s Circle Award in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2015, as well as the Outstanding Client Satisfaction Award in 2002. With an extensive background in retail investments and agricultural property, Ellwanger has been responsible for several key transactions. His accomplishments include: Park Plaza Retail Center in Sacramento, Lakeside Retail Center in Stockton CA, Penn Valley Retail Center in Grass Valley, Lincoln Ridge Retail in Lincoln CA, Sunrise Retail Center in Sacramento, Yuba City Market Place $37M, $18M Pistachio Ranch in Merced County, $13M Prunedale Shopping Center in Salinas CA, and $5.4M Universal Village in Portland OR. Most recent sales include $9.2M Multi-tenant Calvine Plaza in Sacramento, $6M Ramada Plaza Medical Office in Chico, $5M Walerga Plaza in Sacramento, $4.8M Retail Center in Phoenix AZ, $2.5M Fairway Downs in Rocklin CA, $8M Walgreens in Sacramento, $1.7M O'Reilly's in Burley ID, $1.4M O'Reilly's Stockton CA. Ellwanger is a California native and is actively involved in his community. He's served previously on the Franklin School Board in Sutter County and is a former member of the Sutter County Sheriff’s Posse. Ellwanger received his bachelor’s degree in business from San Jose State University.
