Derek Ford

Derek Ford serves as the Partnership’s Senior Vice President for Emerging Neighborhoods, where he creates, defines, and executes strategic vision for emerging neighborhoods in the District. He also serves as a liaison between WDCEP, DMPED, and the business and entrepreneurial communities. Previously, Mr Ford was Chairman of the DC Housing Finance Agency and a lobbyist/consultant for companies doing business in DC. Additionally, he serves on the Boards of: Community Family Life Services, African American Real Estate Professionals, NC A&T State University Board of Visitors, and the DC Democratic State Committee.
