David R. Smith has been involved in real estate since 1996. He began investing in real estate in 1996 and grew a multi-family and office space portfolio that included over 250 tenants. He has an excellent knowledge of commercial and industrial acquisitions, sales and leasing. David held his real estate license with Baird & Warner for three years and then was hired by GMAC Commercial to head their commercial real estate division in 2003. David was involved in over $60 million worth of commercial and industrial transactions in three years. He continues to have a loyal client base that continues to work with him after his move to Entre Commercial Realty in late 2006. With David's background in property maintenance and construction, he now heads up the general contracting and maintenance work for Entre Commercial Realty, LLC as their construction manager. His general contracting firm is called Iris Construction Services, LLC and completed over twenty tenant improvement construction jobs in the year 2008 alone. Prior to beginning his real estate career in 1996, David founded and later sold a computer integrator company in the Chicagoland area. The company grew to over $50 million in sales with 55 employees serving Fortune 1000 companies. David received his Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University and his MBA from Roosevelt University.
