In October of 2011, after 12 years of working for another firm, Mr. Flayhan decided to venture out and create his own commercial real estate firm named The Southpoint Group LLC. As a Commercial Realtor, Mr. Flayhan has proven to be an aggressive producer in both investment sales as well as office leasing. His portfolio consists of leasing more than 650,000 square feet of space consisting of office, retail, industrial and R & D space. Concurrently, Mr. Flayhan is aggressively pursuing the marketing and sales of many investment real estate and development projects, which to date have an aggregate sale value exceeding $93,000,000. Recently, Mr. Flayhan has been increasingly involved in the handling of financial transactions for regional and national banks. A specialist in 1031 transactions, Mr. Flayhan has single handily made a market for tax deferred property exchanges for The Southpoint Group’s clients. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree, Mr. Flayhan studied Business Management and the field of Horticulture. Mr. Flayhan resides with his family in Norwalk, CT.
