Dany Zhao is a Senior Advisor at Marcus & Millichap's Washington, DC office, where he specializes in the acquisition and disposition of retail/mixed-use properties, gas stations, and land development across Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. With a deep understanding of the commercial real estate landscape, Dany excels in areas such as property renovation, value enhancement, strategic negotiation, and the development of innovative partnership structures. In addition to his advisory role, Dany is an experienced real estate investor with a diverse portfolio of assets throughout VA, MD, and DC. His entrepreneurial background includes founding and operating several successful ventures, such as real estate investment firms, a business consulting company, a car dealership, and multiple restaurants. Dany holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, Cum Laude, from the University of Mary Washington. He has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 2011, actively participating in the growth and development of the retail sector. Outside of his professional commitments, Dany is deeply involved in his community. He volunteers with various nonprofit organizations, including Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers, Alternative House, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
