Daniel Cohen
Founding Member with over 30 years RE experience
A principal and founding member of First Evergreen Properties, LLC, came to First Evergreen from Corporate Property Investors (CPI), a $5 Billion private REIT. He has over thirty years of experience in real estate transactions, property operations, and development as well as accounting and finance. Mr. Cohen was with CPI for twenty one years until CPI was merged into Simon Properties. He served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for more than half of his career with CPI. During his tenure at CPI, he oversaw the due diligence on several billion dollars of real estate transactions, developed an internal audit function, installed a lease management and accounting computer system, and developed and implemented accounting procedures and internal controls. Before joining CPI, Mr. Cohen was a senior auditor for the JC Penney Company in their corporate audit department. Mr. Cohen is a Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Internal Auditor.
