Dan Tinker
Dan R. Tinker has over twenty years of building products distribution industry operating experience as well as significant experience in acquisitions, strategic planning, sales and marketing and asset management. Mr. Tinker has a consistent track record of increasing shareholder value for both private equity and public corporations. He is known for developing strong relationships with suppliers, customers and employees. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration from Rice University. Mr. Tinker is currently responsible for all operating units of the company along with the corporate departments of fleet, safety, pricing, purchasing, sales, marketing, information technology, and business development. He is also instrumental in sourcing and integrating acquisitions for SRS Distribution and in growing the company through organic methods including same store sales growth, and opening new greenfield locations. Under his leadership, SRS has opened over 85 new locations and acquired 55 companies in the last ten years. SRS is now the 3rd largest roofing distributor in the nation and has over 200 locations in 41 states. Mr. Tinker also serves on the board of directors of Aramsco, a leading specialty distribution company and also is the President of the SRS Raise the Roof Foundation which has raised over $1 Million in the past three years to benefit wounded veterans, people impacted by weather related disasters and other community needs.
