ABOUT

Dan Swanson is a 25-year industry veteran who specializes in the sale of multifamily assets and development sites, with a primary focus on core Seattle markets. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than 350 sales totaling over one billion dollars. Dan represents property owners in exclusive dispositions, advises select buyers on acquisitions, and facilitates 1031 exchanges. He also provides consulting services for asset valuation, cash flow analysis, and alternative investment strategies. Dan graduated cum laude from the Washington State University Honors College with a B.A. in business administration and dual emphases in accounting and finance. He began his real estate career in 1998 with a national brokerage, where he earned multiple National Achievement Awards over a 15-year tenure. Since joining Kidder Mathews in 2013, Dan has consistently ranked among the firm’s top producers, earning several “Big Hitter” awards, which recognize the top 10% of brokers companywide. In addition to brokerage, Dan has been an active real estate investor since 2000. He began with fourplexes and single-family homes, later completing 1031 exchanges into his current holdings. His portfolio includes apartment buildings on Capitol Hill and partnership interests in multifamily, industrial, and retail properties across the Puget Sound region—all of which are professionally managed. He has been a member of the Rental Housing Association (RHA) since 2000.
