Cindy Hamel is EVP, Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at Advisor Group, the nation’s largest network of independent wealth management firms, overseeing approximately $515 billion in client assets. Cindy is responsible for reviewing and refining Advisor Group’s multi-year strategic and investment planning process by ensuring the organization optimizes its full scale, builds organic growth, captures inorganic growth opportunities, and conducts proactive risk management. Cindy has over 26 years of industry experience and a strong background in broker-dealer operations, advisor facing technology, back office automation, process improvement, risk management and customer service. Cindy is also responsible for the following functions: Strategy, Business Transformation, Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO), and Facilities. The firm’s Chief of Staff Office and additional Corporate Development activities, including the coordination of all Merger & Acquisition (M&A) activities end to end, report to her as well. Formerly, Cindy served as Advisor Group’s EVP, Strategic Initiatives and Chief Operations Officer. Prior to joining Advisor Group, Cindy was Senior Vice President, Strategic Operations at Cetera Financial Group, where she was responsible for leading the development and implementation of Cetera’s business strategy, M&A activities and operational efficiency.
