Chris Marx, SIOR, is Senior Vice President for the Savills Rutherford, New Jersey office, where he is responsible for profitability, tenant advisory services, business development strategy and day-to-day management. An expert at executing large headquarters transactions, Chris has distinguished himself over a 30-year career by advising clients on complex negotiations, developing workplace strategies, and performing in-depth financial analyses. Chris’s reputation for excellent tenant representation has earned him an impressive roster of clients across a diverse range of industries, including legal, financial services, government, industrial and pharmaceuticals. Chris has represented clients such as Plymouth Industrial REIT, John Wiley & Sons, Sills Cummis & Gross PC, VSE Corporation, NJ Turnpike Authority, Best Foods, Carrier, Groupe SEB USA, Kiewit Construction and Viacom. Chris joined Savills in January 2004, after serving as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at USI Brokerage Services, where he was responsible for peak growth, financial profitability, management, and the sourcing and delivery of real estate services. Chris is both an office and industrial member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), and a past president/board member of its New Jersey chapter. He is also a member of CoreNet’s New Jersey and New York chapters. An active member of his community, Chris is co-chair of the New Jersey March of Dimes chapter and a past president of the Ridgewood Lacrosse Association, a 700-plus member youth organization. He is also a member of the board of Newark Regional Business Partners (NRBP), where he serves on the nominating committee.
