Chris Rector

Chris is the Chief Operating Officer of Real Estate Americas, leading our teams across real estate operations, new business development, and platform growth and execution. His direct responsibilities include overseeing asset management, management services, single-family lot development, self-storage, and logistics platform activities across Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and the United States. Since joining Hines in 2015, he has played a vital role in supporting and expanding the U.S. Sunbelt, Mexico, and Central America’s breadth of acquisitions, development, and management services across several business platforms. His current role focuses on creating value for our owned and third-party managed assets via acquisitions, asset management, development, and management services capabilities. Real estate product experience includes office projects, single-family lot development, logistics, arts and cultural, mixed-use, multifamily, self-storage, sports/entertainment, and life science facilities. Chris has been involved in over $5 billion in acquisition and development transactions across numerous asset classes and led a team overseeing more than 10 million square feet of real estate assets and $9 billion in total assets under management. Chris is passionate about serving the community, both personally and in association with Hines. He has previously served as the Hines United Way of Greater Houston Campaign Chair. Currently, he serves on both the boards of the Rice Business Partners at the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston. Chris is active in the Urban Land Institute as a member of the Urban Revitalization Product Council.
