Chris Emanuel

Never one to talk much about himself, Chris’s approach to his business and his clients can be summed up with a statement by a former employer: “Chris would rather light himself on fire than lose a good deal for his client.” Fortunately, it’s never come to that – and that’s largely a testament to Chris’s relentless dedication and resolve. As a former advisor with Sperry Van Ness, he earned the firm’s Rookie of the Year award his first year with the company, then went on to garner the prestigious Partners Circle designation on three separate occasions. He founded Virtus Commercial out of a genuine desire to change the typical business model of commercial brokerages. It’s Chris’s philosophy that it’s about people, not just property. The result? A focus on smart decisions over the long-term. A fierce loyalty to his clients. And a place where the words “quick” and “dollar” are never used side by side. Chris was born and raised in Ottumwa, Iowa, and attended The Ohio State University on a golf scholarship. He graduated with a business degree in finance. And though his clients often grow to feel like Chris is part of their family, he’s also got one of his own – a wife, Amy, their young son, Owen, and a baby girl, Vivian.
