Cheryl Bonin

Cheryl grew up as a middle child of a large brood of children in Chesterton, Indiana. She hardly spoke as a child, but her shyness has melted away as she handles one situation after another. Many of them business, but also quite a few family ones too. She has been a guardian for her nieces and nephews, especially as her siblings have passed or been ill. Experimenting with a few different careers, real estate has been her go to. She built two subdivisions in Porter, Indiana heading Horizon Development, while also selling through her agency. Cheryl is a past board member of the Porter County Builders Association and headed numerous committees for the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of Realtors. She now owns Cheryl Bonin Real Estate and even trains real estate agents to become licensed. She also specializes in managing private client portfolios with real estate business goals that include commercial properties exchanges. You can catch Ms. Bonin most days at her office in the Factory, which also houses U-Haul and off-site storage. Aka, the leasing agent, besides a tour, she will also give you tax tips and food, she’s a great cook. Speaking of such, Cheryl helps support the kitchen efforts at the Chesterton American Legion, where she is also the Secretary of the Auxiliary there.
