Charles T. Alfano Jr. has a long-standing record of civic involvement and public service in the Town of Suffield. He was a member of Phi Alpha Delta (Marshall, 1983–1984) and served on the Town of Suffield’s Ethics Committee in 1985. From 1985 to 1989, he was a member of the Suffield Board of Finance, later serving as Town Attorney from 1989 to 1991 and again from 2009 to 2016. He was also a member of the Town of Suffield Economic Redevelopment Commission from 1991 to 2009 and contributed to the Charter Revision Commission. Since 1995, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Emergency Aid Association, acting as President from 2002 to 2004. Mr. Alfano has been Chairman of the People’s Law School since 1994 and served as Chairman of the Town Center Design Review Board from 2006 to 2009. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Suffield Foundation for Excellent Schools and has held the position of Justice of the Peace since 1984.
