Carol Nelson

Carol Nelson is a Managing Director of Real Estate within the Mountain Division, focusing on operations in Utah, Idaho, and North Dakota. Carol oversees the strategic direction and operations of over 80 properties and 16,000 units in three states and five markets. Carol has extensive experience with value-add rehab repositioning, class A lease-ups, stabilized management, business development and underwriting, budget preparation and review, market analysis, due diligence, disposition and transitions, asset management, and pre-development consultation. Prior to joining Greystar, Carol was with Alliance Residential Company as a Senior Vice President overseeing a portfolio of over 20,000 units in five states and eight markets. Carol also served as Vice President and Regional Manager with Alliance Residential Company during her twenty-two-year tenure. Carol is actively engaged in local Apartment Associations and has held the position of President of the Utah Apartment Association, as well as other various board positions. Carol holds her Utah Sales and Broker Real Estate Licenses and is a Certified Property Manager with the Institute of Real Estate Management. Carol graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Management, with an emphasis in Marketing from Brigham Young University.
