Carl Montgomery

Carl has been involved in the family business since the late 70's. He started at age 12 by helping the auctioneers organize and display private property items at auctions. He coordinates all marketing for each auction and the promotion of Comas Montgomery Realty & Auction Co., Inc and runs the day-to-day operations of the company. Carl Graduated from Oakland High School in 1984 and earned his BA from Middle Tennessee State University with a major in finance in 1989. Carl worked for First American Bank (now Regions Bank) as a loan officer until October of 1991. In 1991 Carl started full time in the family business after graduating from the Nashville Auction School and holds the AARE Designation for auctioneers (Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate). He is also a licensed real estate broker for the state of Tennessee. Carl has coordinated thousands of auctions, including 135 auctions in 2004 and over 400 in 2010. In January 2010 Carl was the project manager for the auction of the former Neill Sandler car dealership which brought $3,000,000. Carl has served or is currently serving on the advisory boards for: Marknet Alliance; Wilson Bank & Trust; Farm Credit Mid America; Calvary Bank (now Pinnacle Bank). Carl has been married to Jennifer Biggs Montgomery since 1991 and they have three children, Elijah Comas Montgomery, Ezra Comas Montgomery and Emilia (Emmy) Laurel Montgomery. Carl’s family is enthusiastic about serving for GO MAD Ministries in the Dominican Republic.
