Calvin is a livelong Memphian having graduated from Germantown High School. He then went on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He spent twenty years as the owner of a light manufacturing company. His experience with this local retail business prepared him for a successful career in public and contract warehousing. Purchasing United Warehouse and Terminal (now UWT Logistics) in 1996, Calvin has seen the business footprint grow from 350,000 sq ft to over 1.2 million sq ft. A past President and board member of the Southeastern Warehouse Association, Calvin has deep relationships in the logistics industry. Calvin and his wife Brenda reside in Holly Springs, MS. They have three children and 13 grandchildren. They are actively involved at First Evangelical Church in Memphis and focus much of their time and resources to local organizations that develop local youth into healthy, responsible, community-oriented citizens. Calvin is also actively involved in humanitarian and mission work in Peru.
