
Dr. Brigitte Owens is an accomplished executive with more than two decades of leadership experience spanning commercial real estate and education administration. As Vice President of Colliers International in Louisville,KY she oversees strategic brokerage and advisory services focused on market growth, asset performance, and sustainable community development. Her expertise lies in aligning business objectives with equitable economic outcomes and fostering partnerships that drive long-term value. Prior to her tenure in commercial real estate, Dr. Owens held senior administrative roles with Jefferson County Public Schools, where she led organizational strategy and leadership development initiatives that enhanced operational effectiveness and stakeholder engagement. Dr. Owens currently serves on the Speed Museum Board of Governors, the German American Bank Advisory Board, the Jefferson County Foundation Board, and as Secretary for Amped Louisville. She has been recognized among Business Women First’s Enterprising Women (2025) and is an active member of Women in Commercial Real Estate, Private Directors Association and the Kentucky Chapter of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Institute. She earned her Doctor of Education and an Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Master’s Degrees in Educational Administration Supervision and Teaching from the University of Memphis and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College.
