
Brian Walsh began his real estate career in 1978, joining his father - former City Councilman and County Supervisor Jack Walsh -in a residential development company. In 1982, Brian founded his own company, Walsh Chacon. Twenty years later, Walsh Chacon is one of only a handful of commercial real estate brokerages which specialize in helping tenants. Walsh Chacon helps clients in a range of industries, from professional services to high tech companies, biotech concerns, manufacturing entities and telecommunication firms. Recent clients include: PricewaterhouseCoopers, Fleishman Hillard Public Relations, US Bank, ProLog, The law firm of Kennerson Schwartz Semerdjian & Haile, Bariatrix and LandAmerica Title Companies. Clients dealing with Brian benefit from his years of experience in this market as well as the unique perspective he has gained having personally owned - and operated - a number of commercial and residential income properties. Brian knows how landlords think - and deal - because he's been one. Until recently he owned and operated a downtown office building housing multiple tenants. Today, Brian's property interests include a 120-unit apartment complex catering to senior citizens, a retail project in Little Italy and vacant land on the Mexican border. Brian has given back to the community that's given to him. A 43-year resident of San Diego, he served as an elected member of the Little Italy Business Improvement District and was President of the Gaslamp Quarter Council. Currently, he serves on the board of directors of St. Vincent de Paul Village and is President of the UCSD Alumni Association. Brian also serves as a Board Member and Audit Committee Member for the UCSD Foundation. Brian led the successful fight to stop the City Council from outlawing high-rise building signs. He also organized a group of more than 700 historic building owners who successfully addressed structural earthquake retrofit requirements proposed by the city's Engineering Department.
