During his annual review one year, Brett’s supervisor had only one bit of criticism. It had been determined that, while he was great at his job, Brett was “TOO FUN” by their standards. So, after deciding he needed a new direction where he could work hard and still be himself, Brett decided to venture into real estate. In 2006, he started selling homes and, just a few years later, decided it was time to start his own brokerage where his values could be upheld (and he could have as much fun as he wanted). Brett founded TREO Realtors in 2008 with one goal: to better serve his clients through modern technology without forgetting that "old-fashioned" values like professionalism and morals still matter. TREO Realtors has become one of the largest real estate firms in the midwest, operating out of 3 states and selling nearly 500 homes per year at its peak. Brett has created and founded a second company, Nekst, a task-based management platform used by agents all across the country. Brett has been recognized as a featured writer for Inman News, the country's largest residential real estate publication. When not working, Brett spends his time with his amazing wife, Jackie, and their three beautiful kids. He coaches lacrosse and soccer (and stands behind his children while they practice piano).
