Brendan Owen

Brendan Owen joined Newmark in May 2013 as Chairman of the Asset Services Group in the Washington, DC, office. Owen is a 30 year leasing veteran representing major clients in the Washington metropolitan area. To date, he has directed more than 2,100 office sales and lease transactions totaling over 36 million square feet with a transaction volume of over $11 billion. Most recently, Owen spent more than seven years acting as the Chief Leasing Officer at Vornado/Charles E. Smith, where he was responsible for the leasing performance of a twenty million-square-foot office and retail portfolio in the Washington metropolitan area. Prior to his tenure with Vornado/Charles E. Smith, Owen enjoyed a successful 17-year career at CBRE, where he was consistently recognized as a top producer in the Washington Metropolitan area. As a Senior Vice President at CBRE specializing in agency leasing, Owen represented major clients in the downtown Washington, DC, and Arlington County Virginia markets.
